Review from a participant:

Woodlands Farm – Pembury
Located just off the A21 in Pembury, just a few miles just outside Tunbride Wells, it’s an established site that was previously used by a corporate entertainment company.

Its 60 acres of predominantly woodland trails over that will challenge all levels of rider.  The site sees a number of elevation changes along its various runs, resulting in some amusing stoppages from some of the riders.

The day is organised with a number of escorted runs, with a marshal leading the way and another following at the rear.  This is primarily for safety reasons as the trails twist and cross over each other a number of times.  It also allows the organisers to accommodate the various differing skill sets and requirements from the diverse number of riders present.  We had a large contingent of young riders, another large number of skilled riders, and some more who just wanted to potter about gently in the Kent countryside.

Facilities are of an unusually high standard in that there is a good sized covered seating area next to the “pits”, and a proper toilet with a lockable door!! Parking is on hardcore, so 4x4’s are not necessary, and although not there on the day we went, there will be a burger van present when the operator returns from holiday.  In addition there was a very powerful jet wash available for hire on site so you don’t have to worry about upsetting the neighbourhood/spouse with your Sunday afternoon mudslide.
